General Description: The IMSA Roadway Lighting Technician certification demonstrates the holder as being knowledgeable about the theory and operation related to roadway lighting installation, maintenance, lighting components, and systems.

 

Course Specifics: The exam topics covered include - electrical safety and codes, electrical fundamentals, Illumination fundamentals, jurisdictional needs, and basic building and maintenance.

 

Purpose: Whether they work for a private company or a government organization, those who hold the certification are ready to contribute significantly to the upkeep and repair of roadway lighting.

 

Prerequisite(s):

In Florida – Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control or higher (formerly Maintenance of Traffic); Outside of FL – IMSA Work Zone Traffic Control Safety Certification
